London South Bank University

London South Bank University is a dynamic institution with some 17,500 students; undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholars and visiting students. A truly international community based in the heart of London, the University provides a stimulating atmosphere.

With an historical commitment to widening access and educational opportunities, fees are kept as inexpensive as possible and there is a flexible approach to the degrees on offer, in order to keep apace with the ever-changing requirements of industry and the business sector.

In the drive to create a campus suitable for the next millenium of teaching and learning, the University has embarked upon the redevelopment and refurbishment of teaching and accommodation buildings. Recently completed are a new faculty building, a new halls of residence and the Learning Resource Centre which represents a major commitment to electronic learning methods.

Over the last few years London South Bank's research activities have developed strongly to the point where it is now one of the sixth most research active of the new universities in the UK.

The Centre for Surveying has been providing full and part-time courses for surveyors for most of the last century and, at the start of this millennium, we are in the fore front of developments in the management, construction and maintenance of the built environment. Today we offer courses from foundation level to PhD, from building surveying to project management, from post-school to mature entry, from two hours to five years.

Increasingly, we are working with industry to provide courses specifically tailored to its needs, whether a short familiarisation unit or a full MSc programme. Our research activities include technical consultancy, innovation, economic and policy issues. Please look through our pages, but if you are in a hurry, or cannot find what you are looking for here, you can fill in a request form and we will get back to you. Our address is:
